History

Lincoln Hall is a music venue at 2424 N. Lincoln Avenue in Chicago’s Lincoln Park, next to the Biograph Theater. The building opened in 1912 as the Fullerton Theatre, a nickelodeon, and later held a garage, the Crest Theatre, and the 3 Penny Cinema; in 1934 FBI agents were stationed on its roof the night John Dillinger was killed across the street. Brothers Mike and Chris Schuba, already running Schubas Tavern, opened Lincoln Hall on October 16, 2009, with a show by Mike Doughty. The room holds 507 between the floor and a wraparound balcony. Wikipedia records that the Schubas sold both clubs to Audiotree in 2015, which still runs them together.
