History
The Drake is in Amherst, Massachusetts, about eight miles from Northampton, not in the city of Springfield. The Boston Globe reported that it opened in May 2022 in a former restaurant as Amherst’s first dedicated music venue, with a capacity of 250, a high-end sound system, and a Steinway grand piano donated by Amherst College.
