Atlantic Ale House

History

Co-owner Jenny Lockmiller and her partners opened the Atlantic Ale House in December 2014 on Commerce Street, in the former Sevier Cafe building, after getting tired of driving to Knoxville and Asheville for taprooms. They kept stools and pictures from the old cafe and set the bar up to pour about 16 rotating regional beers rather than brew their own. The McClure Street room sits among the downtown breweries and lofts that were reopening that corridor.
