History

Capone’s is a multi-level bar and concert room at 227 E. Main St. in downtown Johnson City. A December 2025 profile of owner/operator George Leonard said he had run it for almost 20 years and described a 1920s-styled building with a main stage and a downstairs room called The Vault. Discover Johnson City ties the name to local stories about Al Capone during Prohibition. Ally Nicholas (Oct. 18, 2026), Lost in Silence with Ham Radio (Oct. 30) and Holywatr (Nov. 4) are among shows billed there.
