History
The Whistler is a Logan Square bar, record label, gallery, and venue at 2421 N Milwaukee Avenue. Since 2008 it has put DJs, jazz, rock, electronic bills, film, and readings on one stage, with no cover and no reservations. Co-owner Billy Helmkamp opened it in 2008. It is a founding member of the Chicago Independent Venue League.
