Cook's Garage

History

Cook’s Garage, at 11002 US-87 where it meets 114th Street, is a restaurant and concert complex the Cook family opened in 2017 in a former paving-and-roofing warehouse; owner Mistie Kahl grew up in Tahoka. Country is the core, but Ice Cube and Nelly have also played. It has an indoor Bus Barn (about 1,800) and an outdoor stage the family says can reach about 12,000, plus a large vintage neon-sign collection, car shows, and rodeos (Lubbock Lights, Feb. 8, 2024; Bandsintown venue page; cooksgarage.com).
