Royale

History

Royale is a concert hall and nightclub at 279 Tremont Street in Boston’s Theater District, inside a building that opened in 1918 as an opera house. The multi-level room covers about 33,000 square feet and still has a grand staircase, ornate plasterwork, chandeliers, and wraparound balconies. It switches between early-evening concerts, weekend 21+ dance nights, and private events, with capacity ranging from small buyouts to more than 1,200 standing. Bowery Boston books many of the live shows, and the room is equipped with a large LED wall and a concert sound system.
