House of Rock's site says the club opened July 28, 2005, at 511 Starr Street in downtown Corpus Christi, at Starr and Mesquite. It is split into The Venue, a middle bar, and a main bar with a kitchen. The venue side books local and national shows and private events, and the club lists past bills including Clutch, GWAR, Steve Earle, Billy Joe Shaver, and As I Lay Dying. There is no cover in the main dining room.
