History
Donald "Hippie" Hinamon opened the Euclid Avenue Yacht Club in 1987 in a former jewelry store at 1136 Euclid Avenue in Little Five Points, with Michelle Janko and Don Sweet. The nautically themed dive, with lifesavers, a shark, and cheap beer in a room Hinamon called "Cheers on LSD," drew a loyal crowd of regulars for decades. Hinamon sold the business to Manuel "Manny" Maloof, who reopened it in June 2021 after a pandemic closure of more than a year.
