Drive-By Truckers

Bio

Drive-By Truckers are a rock band based in Athens, Georgia. Wikipedia notes that two of the five current members are originally from the Shoals region of northern Alabama and met as roommates at the University of North Alabama, and that the group also has roots in Richmond, Virginia. They are part of the long Athens scene that also produced acts such as R.E.M. and Widespread Panic, and they have toured relentlessly. Photographs on their Wikipedia page show the band together and Patterson Hood with Mike Cooley in 2023.
