History

Valley Bar opened in May 2015 in the basement of a 1949 building at 130 N. Central Avenue, a downtown block that had housed The Hub galleries, the Modified arts space, and Bickoff’s Deli. Promoter Charlie Levy built an underground lounge and music hall, with the Rose Room named for former Arizona governor Rose Mofford. The music hall holds about 250 people, and the club books local and national bands plus DJs, comedy, drag, and other nightlife.
