History

Coastal Empire Beer Co. is the Savannah brewery Kevin Haborak started after moving from Atlanta in 2009. The company history says test batches were brewed at Blue and Gray in February 2011, Savannah Brown Ale shipped to Savannah Distributing on August 25, 2011, and the beer launched at the Distillery Ale House on August 28, 2011, during the first Savannah Craft Beer Week, then won the people’s-choice award at that week’s festival.
