Sir Benedict's Tavern on the Lake

History

Sir Benedict’s is the English-style pub at 805 E. Superior Street, across from Lake Superior. Fox 21 reported that Jack and Barb Arnold opened it in 1977 in a 1940s gas station, and that Josh and Kaila Stotts bought it and opened as owners on April 1, 2015. The Duluth News Tribune noted that Trampled by Turtles played their first show there in 2003. The pub’s site says it books live musicians five to seven nights a week.
