History
The Top Hat at 134 W. Front Street has been a Missoula music bar since the 1950s and has hosted Bo Diddley, B.B. King, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Steve Garr ran it from the mid-1980s until his death in 2009. Nick and Robin Checota bought it in September 2012 and reopened it in March 2013 after a renovation that raised capacity and replaced the sound system. Logjam books the room.
