History

Wild Bill’s is a juke joint in Memphis’s Vollintine-Evergreen neighborhood, named for co-founder Willie “Wild Bill” Storey, who died in 2007. Memphis Travel quotes owner Mannie Williams calling it one of the last surviving juke joints in the city and says he has kept the room going for about seven years. That account says the stage has hosted legends including B.B. King and that the walls are covered with photos from nights past. Musicians still come after work to play blues for a late crowd.
