History

The End is a small rock club at 2219 Elliston Place on Nashville’s Rock Block, across from Exit/In. The address was first Amy’s, a dive and pool hall, then the music room Elliston Square. Owner Bruce Fitzpatrick, who had booked clubs since about 1980 and later booked and managed Exit/In, reopened the room as The End in 1999. The club’s own history lists shows by bands including the White Stripes, Fugazi, the Flaming Lips, Sleater-Kinney, and Mastodon. In January 2026 Fitzpatrick said 2025 was the worst of his 27 years there and the first time the club fell behind on rent; a GoFundMe for $25,000 to keep the lease reached its goal in less than a day.
