History
The Handlebar, 319 N. Tarragona St., calls itself Pensacola’s live-music room since 1983 and says it is now in a third run. Its about page says the building, once split into three rooms, was opened up, that the club closed in November 2018, and that Kathy Sandstrom and Chris McKean reopened it on August 13, 2022, with manager Robert Goodspeed, after nearly four years dark. The entrance is through the Belmont Street courtyard. The venue page lists a rebuilt 20-by-14-foot stage. JamBase lists a capacity of about 300.
