The Brass Rail

1121 Broadway, Fort Wayne, IN · about 120

History

The Brass Rail at 1121 Broadway sits in a turn-of-the-century building with a stamped-tin ceiling and is one of Fort Wayne’s oldest bars. Johnny Commorato and Corey Rader bought it in June 2007, after the city took their place on Ewing Street for a baseball stadium, and they set out to keep a permanent room for shows. It became a late-night dive for punk, metal, outlaw country, and rock, with bands often going on after midnight. The bar is 21-plus and does not host all-ages shows.
