Mr. Goodbar

History

The Aliotta family took over what owner Phil Rabb believes had been the Campus Lounge and in 1968 renamed it Mister Goodbar, years before the movie of that name. Later owners included Art Ponto, Gino Grasso and Richie Alberts, Chris and Molly Brinkworth, and Dominic Massaro; Rabb, the sixth owner, took over in 2010. At 1110 Elmwood Avenue the two-floor bar pours craft beer and books bands and DJs downstairs and in the upstairs Attic, a concert hall that has hosted acts from Rancid to Rusted Root, plus Thursday comedy.
