Bio
Beauty Pill is a Washington, D.C. band and art collective that began in 2001 around the songs of singer, guitarist, and producer Chad Clark. On Dischord Records they leaned into cinematic arrangements and electronic textures, starting with the EP The Cigarette Girl From the Future and the album The Unsustainable Lifestyle. Later releases include Beauty Pill Describes Things As They Are, Please Advise, and Instant Night. In 2011 they turned Artisphere’s Black Box Theatre in Arlington into a public recording studio for the Immersive Ideal project, and they have also played the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s Luce Foundation Center.
