Steely Dead
Denver
Bio
Steely Dead is a Denver band that fuses Grateful Dead songs with Steely Dan. Founder Dave Abear has said the group started as a “what if,” with his brother Matt Abear on bass, Chris Sheldon on drums, and Dylan Teifer on keys. A Relix piece dated the project about five years before a sold-out run at Phil Lesh’s Terrapin Crossroads.
