Start Making Sense
Bio
Start Making Sense is a Talking Heads tribute whose own site describes a seven-piece band recreating the group's catalog and the visual elements of the live show Stop Making Sense. A Central Maine interview with drummer Jesse Braun dates the project to 2009, with his brother Jon Braun as frontman on vocals and guitar. A 2025 NYS Music piece places the band in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and names Brian Davis, Jenny Founds, Jesse Braun, Alex Ayala, Kate Desisto, and Colin Miller alongside Jon Braun. They play rooms such as the Stone Pony in Asbury Park and, in 2022, the Head of Falls in Waterville. Stephanie Craig's portrait for Central Maine shows the ensemble.
