Mexican Slum Rats

Bio

Mexican Slum Rats are a five-piece from the San Fernando Valley: Kevin Villalba (vocals, guitar), Benjamin Schlesinger (guitar), Raco Mendoza (percussion), Sebastian Felix (bass), and Matt Shulman (saxophone). Their own EPK says Ben and Kevin started as a death-metal band and the group now calls the music emo-jazz fusion rock. They have shared bills with Death from Above 1979, The Front Bottoms, Beach Fossils, and Dogstar, and released the single “HIVEMIND.”
