The Messenger Birds

Bio

The Messenger Birds are the Detroit rock duo of guitarist Parker Bengry and drummer Chris Williams, high-school friends from metro Detroit who started jamming after a hockey camp at St. Mary’s Preparatory and have played as just the two of them since the mid-2010s. Their loud alt-rock stacks riffs, hooks, and synths; the 2020 album Everything Has to Fall Apart Eventually includes “Phantom Limb,” and Tragic Comedy followed in 2022. They have opened for All Them Witches, including a Ryman date, and played festivals such as Louder Than Life and Mo Pop.
