HummusVacuum

Bio

HummusVacuum is an emo and pop-punk band from Columbus, Ohio. Guitarist and singer Kevin Cappy started the name as a solo online project during the pandemic, then built a band with drummer Christian Gehring and bassist and singer Evan Applefeller. Their songs mix earnest, anthemic emo with fast, joking punk, and tracks such as "G-U-I-L-L-O-T-I-N-E" and "Lexapro Skater" spread widely online. Columbus Underground reported that their debut album, The Art of a Fake Laugh, was set for release on SmartPunk Records on May 22.
