The Blue Stones

Bio

The Blue Stones are a blues-rock duo from Windsor, Ontario: Tarek Jafar on vocals and guitar and Justin Tessier on drums and backing vocals. Friends since high school, they started the band in 2011 and play a guitar-and-drums setup they have compared to the White Stripes and the Black Keys, with roots in classic rock and blues. Their album Black Holes, first issued in the mid-2010s, was re-released by Entertainment One in 2018 after the single "Rolling with the Punches" landed on television. Later records include Hidden Gems (2021), Pretty Monster (2022), and Metro (2025). They were nominated for a Juno Award as Breakthrough Group of the Year in 2020.
