Last.fm's band biography, in Spanish and English, says Banda La Auténtica de Jerez started on December 12, 1993, in Jerez, Zacatecas, with a first dance in San Martín Bolaños, Jalisco. The same accounts say the first album, recorded in Los Angeles, was titled A Escondidas and circulated in Mexico and the United States.
