History
The Lobero Theatre is at 33 E. Canon Perdido St. in Santa Barbara. Wikipedia says Jose Lobero founded it in 1873, making it California's oldest continuously operating theater, and that the present building, in Spanish Colonial Revival, replaced the original opera house in 1924 and was designed by George Washington Smith and Lutah Maria Riggs. The theatre's site uses the same oldest-theater line.
