Kelly's Olympian

Kelly's Olympian was established in 1902 as the Olympian Saloon, named for an original owner, Kelly, and for Olympia Brewing, which helped open it to sell Olympia Beer; "Kelly's" was added a few years later. A new bank building forced a move in 1957 to 426 Southwest Washington Street, two blocks from the first site. The Powers family ran it for three generations, and it remains a downtown dive and live-music room, billed as Portland's third-oldest continuously operated bar.
