Kilkenny Alehouse, at the corner of Central Avenue and Halsey Street in downtown Newark, dates its current pub to 2006. Owner Rob Lynch ran it as an Irish pub with craft and imported beer, whiskey, and Irish and American food, and it became a downtown hangout for workers, students, and St. Patrick’s parade crowds near NJPAC and the Prudential Center. The building has a front bar, a dining room, and an upstairs party room. Lynch died in 2023.
