Shannon and the Clams
Oakland · San Francisco

Bio
Shannon and the Clams is an indie garage-punk band based in Oakland, California, formed in the late 2000s by musicians who met at the California College of the Arts. The quartet is Shannon Shaw on vocals and bass, Cody Blanchard on vocals and guitar, Nate Mahan on drums, and Will Sprott on vocals and keyboards. Their records fold doo-wop, classic R&B, garage psych, and surf into a vintage-leaning sound, starting with the 2009 album I Wanna Go Home. Later albums include Dreams in the Rat House (2013), Gone by the Dawn (2015), and Dan Auerbach-produced records Onion (2018), Year of the Spider (2021), and The Moon Is in the Wrong Place (2024). Shaw has also played in Hunx and His Punx.
