Pinback
San Diego

Bio
Pinback is an indie rock band from San Diego, formed in 1998 by singers and multi-instrumentalists Rob Crow and Armistead Burwell Smith IV, known as Zach Smith. The pair write interlocking guitar-and-bass songs with close harmonies that sit between indie pop, progressive rock, and math rock. Their albums include the self-titled Pinback (1999), Summer in Abaddon (2004), Autumn of the Seraphs (2007), and Information Retrieved (2012). Drummer Chris Prescott usually completes the live band, and the group still plays its hometown Casbah, including the club’s anniversary shows.
