Merchandise is a post-punk band from Tampa, Florida, formed in 2008 by singer Carson Cox, guitarist David Vassalotti, and bassist Patrick Brady, first as a home-recording project called the Dry County. They place their music in the grey area of punk, noise, and pop. Breakthrough records include Children of Desire (2012) and the 4AD album After the End (2014), followed by A Corpse Wired for Sound (2016). In 2025 Cox released “You Shot Me Down (Single Mix),” the group’s first new song since 2016, on his Symbol + Sound label.
