Born May 2, 1995, and raised in the suburb of Mechanicsville, she left film studies at Virginia Commonwealth University to write songs and released her debut, No Burden, in 2016. Matador Records then issued Historian (2018), Home Video (2021), and Forever Is a Feeling (2025). Her writing is often autobiographical, drawing on a Christian upbringing and the Richmond scene where she started.
